WHAT IS THE INCUBATOR COHORT?

The Church Planter Incubator is a 2-year training program that focuses on process, relationship and reflective practice instead of merely understanding new concepts.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Incubator is for current church planters or those who will plant in the next 12 months.

WHEN DOES THE NEXT INCUBATOR START?

The next Chicago Incubator in which we are accepting enrollment will launch in September 2019 and will meet monthly in a cohort style learning environment.  Applications due by Aug 1, 2019. (Apply here)

HOW MANY CHURCH PLANTERS WILL BE ACCEPTED?

To ensure a quality, only 12 church planters are admitted per cohort.  If you apply and we already have the first 12 chosen, you may submit your application for the following cohort when it launches.

WHAT DOES THE TRAINING LOOK LIKE?

The Chicago Incubator is possible through a partnership with Redeemer City to City and is adapted from their training. Chicago-based trainers deliver sixteen learning modules over two years, meeting monthly. To see the descriptions for each learning module, click here.

WHAT DO THE LEARNING MODULES ADDRESS?

Each learning module addresses the specific needs of urban planters, including skills in thinking theologically about ministry and growth in the various areas of urban ministry. Church planters go through the program during the critical phase of launching their congregations. They get practical help with crucial ministry development, preaching, philosophy of ministry, writing their action plan, and more. Ideally, participation in the Incubator Cohort is accompanied by coaching to encourage the planters to reach the maximum extent of their giftedness.

WHAT OTHER TRAINING OR COACHING IS PROVIDED?

Our aim is to work with your sponsoring church or denomination to ensure ongoing hands on learning while participating in the Incubator Cohort.  Learning is best done when practical in-the-field experience is combined with the cohort learning environment.  If you are not connected to a sponsor church, network, or denomination let us know and we will work with you to find the best solution.

IS THERE A COST FOR THE TRAINING?

Yes, there is a cost for the training.

WHAT THEOLOGICAL OR DENOMINATIONAL AFFILIATION MUST I BELONG TO IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE?

The Chicago Partnership for Church Planting is an interdenominational training organization.  Anyone from various theological or denominational backgrounds can apply to the Incubator Cohort.
